Privacy Policy

Range Report Pro ("the App," "we," "our," or "us") is a shooting range logging application for Android and iOS. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information when you use it, including its optional Community Forum feature.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

Range Report Pro does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information (such as your name, email address, or phone number) to use the App, including the Community Forum.

We do not collect, view, or have access to:

• Your session logs, shot data, scores, or notes
• Your firearm, optic, or equipment details
• Any photos or images you add within the App
• Your location, unless you explicitly enable an optional feature that uses it (see Section 3)
• Any backup the App creates for you, whether automatic or manually triggered, as described in Section 4 below — that data goes to your own personal cloud account, not to us

This section describes your private, on-device session data. Content you choose to post in the optional Community Forum is handled differently — see Section 6.

2. How Your Data Is Stored

All data you enter into Range Report Pro — including session logs, statistics, trends, maintenance reminders, and notes — is stored locally on your device in a local database. This data is never synced to, uploaded to, or backed up on any server operated by us.

By default, the App also automatically creates periodic backups of this data directly to your own personal iCloud (iOS) or Google (Android) account, and you can trigger an additional manual backup at any time. This can be turned off in the App's Settings if you prefer to keep your data only on your device. See Section 4 for details.

• We cannot access, view, recover, or delete your data — whether stored locally or backed up to your cloud account — on your behalf.
• If you disable automatic backup, uninstall the App, lose your device, or clear the App's storage without a backup available, your data may be permanently lost.
• You are responsible for managing your backup settings and your iCloud/Google account if you wish to preserve or control your data.

This section applies to your private session data. Content posted in the Community Forum is stored on servers used to operate that feature rather than only on your device — see Section 6.

3. Device Permissions

Depending on the features you use, the App may request the following optional device permissions:

• Camera / Photo Library: to attach target photos or images to a session log. Images are stored locally and are not transmitted anywhere by the App unless you include them in a backup you initiate (see Section 4).
• Storage: to save and retrieve your local session data and any exported files (e.g., if you export your logs).
• iCloud (iOS) / Google Account access (Android): used to perform automatic periodic backups by default, and any manual backup you trigger, as described in Section 4. This permission is not used for any other purpose. You can revoke it or disable automatic backup in the App's Settings.

You may decline any of these permissions; doing so may limit certain optional features but will not prevent core use of the App.

4. Automatic Cloud Backup

Range Report Pro includes a backup feature, enabled by default, that periodically saves a copy of your local App data to your own iCloud account (iOS) or Google account (Android), using Apple's and Google's built-in backup services. You can also trigger an additional manual backup at any time to save your latest changes immediately.

• Automatic backup runs periodically in the background without requiring action from you each time. You can turn automatic backup off at any time in the App's Settings; doing so does not delete any backups already created, but stops new ones from being made.
• Whether created automatically or manually, your session logs, statistics, notes, and any attached images are transmitted directly from your device to the cloud storage account you are signed into (Apple's iCloud or Google's Drive/Backup service). This data does not pass through, or become accessible to, any server operated by us.
• Once your data is stored in iCloud or Google's backup service, its handling is governed by Apple's or Google's own privacy policies and security practices, not ours. We recommend reviewing Apple's Privacy Policy and Google's Privacy Policy to understand how they handle data stored in your account.
• You can delete a backup at any time through your device's iCloud or Google Account storage settings. We have no ability to access, modify, or delete backups on your behalf, since we never receive or store this data ourselves.
• Because backups happen automatically by default, we recommend reviewing your App Settings after installation if you would prefer your data to remain only on your device.

5. AI Coach Feature

Range Report Pro includes an optional "AI Coach" feature that provides shot diagnosis and feedback. This feature works entirely on your device using built-in geometric analysis and pre-written guidance — it does not send your shot data, images, or session information to any external server, cloud service, or third-party AI provider.

6. Community Forum

Range Report Pro includes an optional Community Forum where users can post messages and discussion visible to other users of the App. The Community Forum does not require you to create an account or provide an email address or any other personal information. To post, you only need to choose a nickname, which you can change at any time in the App's Settings.

Because the Community Forum is a public feature, it works differently from the rest of the App described in Sections 1–2, which stores your data locally and never on our servers. When you use the Community Forum:

• Nickname and posts: Your chosen nickname and anything you post are stored on servers used to operate the forum, and are visible publicly to anyone who uses the forum.
• Automatically logged information: Our forum infrastructure may automatically log technical information associated with your posts, such as an IP address, device identifier, or timestamp, primarily to help prevent spam and abuse and to enforce our Terms and Conditions.
• Changing your nickname: You may change your nickname at any time. Doing so does not retroactively remove, anonymize, or reattribute posts you already made under a previous nickname.
• Public and not private: Do not post information you consider private, such as your real name, location, contact details, or specifics about your firearms, home, or range that you'd rather keep confidential. Publicly posted content may be viewed, copied, or shared by others outside of our control.
• Content removal: You can request removal of a post, or of information tied to a nickname, by contacting us at support@rangereport.us. We may also remove content that violates our Terms and Conditions.
• Moderation records: If we take moderation action (for example, removing a post or restricting a nickname or device from posting), we may retain limited records of the content and related technical information as needed to enforce our Terms and Conditions.

We host and protect the Community Forum using Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes forum content, nicknames, and related technical information (such as IP addresses) on our behalf as part of delivering the forum and providing security services such as spam and abuse protection, subject to Cloudflare's own security and data-handling practices in addition to the ones described here. 7. Analytics and Third-Party Services

Outside of the Community Forum, the App does not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking services, and no usage data is collected or shared with third parties. The external services the App interacts with are: Apple's iCloud and Google's account/backup services (only when you personally initiate a backup, as described in Section 4), and Cloudflare, which we use to host and protect the Community Forum described in Section 6, and which processes forum content, nicknames, and related technical information such as IP addresses on our behalf.

8. Children's Privacy

Range Report Pro's core, account-free features described in Sections 1–5 are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through those features.

The Community Forum is intended only for users who are 18 years of age or older (see Section 6 and our Terms and Conditions). Because the forum does not require registration or age verification, we are not able to verify the age of anyone who posts. If we become aware that a user under 18 has posted content or personal information in the Community Forum, we will remove it, and you can request removal by contacting us at support@rangereport.us. We encourage parents and guardians to supervise minors' use of the App.

9. Data Security

Because your session data is stored locally on your device by default, its security depends on your device's own security features (such as passcode, biometric lock, or device encryption). We recommend enabling these protections on your device. If you use the optional cloud backup feature, the security of that backup depends on the protections Apple or Google apply to your iCloud or Google Account, including your account password and any two-factor authentication you have enabled. We recommend securing those accounts accordingly. We also recommend avoiding use of the App on jailbroken or rooted devices, as this can weaken your device's built-in security protections and may affect the App's ability to function correctly. Content you post in the Community Forum is stored on the servers used to operate that feature, and its security depends on the safeguards we and any third-party forum service provider maintain. As with anything shared publicly online, we cannot guarantee the security of information you choose to post there.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App's features. Any updates will be posted with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your consent to, and acceptance of, the updated policy.
