Privacy Policy

Range Report Pro ("the App," "we," "our," or "us") is a shooting range logging application for Android and iOS. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information when you use it.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

Range Report Pro does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information (such as your name, email address, or phone number) to use the App.

We do not collect, view, or have access to:

• Your session logs, shot data, scores, or notes
• Your firearm, optic, or equipment details
• Any photos or images you add within the App
• Your location, unless you explicitly enable an optional feature that uses it (see Section 3)
• Any backup the App creates for you, whether automatic or manually triggered, as described in Section 4 below — that data goes to your own personal cloud account, not to us

2. How Your Data Is Stored

All data you enter into Range Report Pro — including session logs, statistics, trends, maintenance reminders, and notes — is stored locally on your device in a local database. This data is never synced to, uploaded to, or backed up on any server operated by us.

By default, the App also automatically creates periodic backups of this data directly to your own personal iCloud (iOS) or Google (Android) account, and you can trigger an additional manual backup at any time. This can be turned off in the App's Settings if you prefer to keep your data only on your device. See Section 4 for details.

• We cannot access, view, recover, or delete your data — whether stored locally or backed up to your cloud account — on your behalf.
• If you disable automatic backup, uninstall the App, lose your device, or clear the App's storage without a backup available, your data may be permanently lost.
• You are responsible for managing your backup settings and your iCloud/Google account if you wish to preserve or control your data.

3. Device Permissions

Depending on the features you use, the App may request the following optional device permissions:

• Camera / Photo Library: to attach target photos or images to a session log. Images are stored locally and are not transmitted anywhere by the App unless you include them in a backup you initiate (see Section 4).
• Storage: to save and retrieve your local session data and any exported files (e.g., if you export your logs).
• iCloud (iOS) / Google Account access (Android): used to perform automatic periodic backups by default, and any manual backup you trigger, as described in Section 4. This permission is not used for any other purpose. You can revoke it or disable automatic backup in the App's Settings.

You may decline any of these permissions; doing so may limit certain optional features but will not prevent core use of the App.

4. Automatic Cloud Backup

Range Report Pro includes a backup feature, enabled by default, that periodically saves a copy of your local App data to your own iCloud account (iOS) or Google account (Android), using Apple's and Google's built-in backup services. You can also trigger an additional manual backup at any time to save your latest changes immediately.

• Automatic backup runs periodically in the background without requiring action from you each time. You can turn automatic backup off at any time in the App's Settings; doing so does not delete any backups already created, but stops new ones from being made.
• Whether created automatically or manually, your session logs, statistics, notes, and any attached images are transmitted directly from your device to the cloud storage account you are signed into (Apple's iCloud or Google's Drive/Backup service). This data does not pass through, or become accessible to, any server operated by us.
• Once your data is stored in iCloud or Google's backup service, its handling is governed by Apple's or Google's own privacy policies and security practices, not ours. We recommend reviewing Apple's Privacy Policy and Google's Privacy Policy to understand how they handle data stored in your account.
• You can delete a backup at any time through your device's iCloud or Google Account storage settings. We have no ability to access, modify, or delete backups on your behalf, since we never receive or store this data ourselves.
• Because backups happen automatically by default, we recommend reviewing your App Settings after installation if you would prefer your data to remain only on your device.

5. AI Coach Feature

Range Report Pro includes an optional "AI Coach" feature that provides shot diagnosis and feedback. This feature works entirely on your device using built-in geometric analysis and pre-written guidance — it does not send your shot data, images, or session information to any external server, cloud service, or third-party AI provider.

6. Analytics and Third-Party Services

The App does not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking services. No usage data is collected or shared with third parties. The only external services the App interacts with are Apple's iCloud and Google's account/backup services, and only when you personally initiate a backup as described in Section 4.

7. Children's Privacy

Range Report Pro is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. Since the App collects no personal information from any user on our own servers, no personal information from children is collected by us.

8. Data Security

Because your data is stored locally on your device by default, its security depends on your device's own security features (such as passcode, biometric lock, or device encryption). We recommend enabling these protections on your device. If you use the optional cloud backup feature, the security of that backup depends on the protections Apple or Google apply to your iCloud or Google Account, including your account password and any two-factor authentication you have enabled. We recommend securing those accounts accordingly. We also recommend avoiding use of the App on jailbroken or rooted devices, as this can weaken your device's built-in security protections and may affect the App's ability to function correctly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App's features. Any updates will be posted with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your consent to, and acceptance of, the updated policy.
